Guest Speaker

Dan Adler is a lifelong travel enthusiast. He explored Europe with the “Eurail pass” in 1983, hitchhiked behind the Iron Curtain in 1986, worked as an economics teacher in Zimbabwe, and traveled throughout southern Africa from 1987 to 1990. As a government, economics, and math teacher in Los Angeles, he used his vacations to travel in Polynesia, Central and South America, and Canada. He even took students to Cuba during the Obama years. Since retiring, he has spent the last two years traveling around the world, visiting over 100 countries on almost every continent.  As a government and economics teacher--as well as a voracious consumer of news--Mr. Adler has always been fascinated by how other countries and systems

address the challenges of providing quality living conditions for their citizens. And after years of interacting with people from multiple backgrounds and religions, he has stories, experiences, and perspectives that have helped to illuminate his understanding of the world, its challenges, and the ways that we can move forward together. Mr. Adler encourages you to step outside your comfort zone, take risks, and meet the amazing citizens of planet Earth.
