Cynthia Yue

Cynthia is a student at the George Washington University Honors Program studying International Affairs with a concentration in International Economics and a minor in Sustainability. She has been an avid lifelong supporter of UNICEF. The stories of her parents' and grandparents’ hardships inspired her to recognize the need to both invest all that we can into our world's children and to use our voices to speak out against global violence. Previously, Cynthia has served as a UNICEF UNITE Mid-Atlantic Youth Rep and National Council Member, Fellow for the Embassy of France and the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Indonesia, and intern for the U.S. Senate and U.S. Department of Transportation. On campus, Cynthia participates in the Debate & Literary Society, Model United Nations, International Affairs Society, and UNICEF Club. As a Dean’s Scholar at the Elliott School of International Affairs, Cynthia is also conducting research on how young people and organizations are using international law and treaties, such as the UNCRC, to litigate and hold countries accountable for climate justice.
