International Court of Justice: Turkey v. China
The Chinese government has been accused of genocide against the Muslim Uighur minorities in their country. Documents have been leaked that support the existence of Uighur concentration camps, but the Chinese government has denied any wrongdoing, stating that these “camps” are simply vocational and educational centers meant to combat terrorism. There have been allegations of organ harvesting, yet the international community has turned a blind eye. For this reason, the nation of Turkey has taken up the case to defend the Uighurs. Turkey has filed charges against China for their alleged human rights violations, and your task is to make the judgment determining the lawfulness of China’s actions.
